Evening walk on the beach

Back in rainy Belgium...

I landed yesterday evening around midnight... since then my country seems extremely cold and wet. Luckily there was this magnificant view at the Finance Tower after a whole day of working - though long day as I'm still in holiday mood.

Gentse Feesten!

The 10 day city festival started last Saturday - with lots of sun. The performance of Daan this evening was somehow wetter...

Ghent :-)

A rainy day at Merelbeke - working - was followed by a nice diner at the sunny seaside. I finished the evening walking barefoot on the cold beach - just perfect!

Couleur Café @ Brussels

Johanna invited me to join her and two collaegues for this multicultural festival at Thurn & Taxis. The place is great in itself but the music and food were fine too :-)

Ladies Night!!! Johanna, Marijke, Daisy, Kathelijn and I had a nice diner in Mechelen before dancing dancing dancing... at the party. The night was short but great!

Onder de Boekentoren

We still don't know the concpet of the evening yet... but Marijke, Mieke, Johanna, Schalck and I received a free drink at this trendy place in Ghent. I had hoped for a kind of afterwork party... instead we had a cosy chat the whole evening.

What's your type? Gerd Campaert let the KVIV Jongeren discover their color type this evening... I turned out to be a cool 'winter type', while Johanna and Mieke are warmer 'springs'.

Kashbah

Each 15th of the month, BAiB invites to discover a new diner place in Brussels. This time, Mieke Michèle and I joined for "Kashbah" in the Dansard quarter. The food was good, the interior cosy and the waiters very 'kind'...

Walking @ Waterloo

The tourist guide proposed a 10km walk... Mieke and I made an alternative journey in and around Waterloo - autch my feet!

VTKja weekend in Leisele started with an 80's cantus... The pig was too fat/big for the bbq the next day and about 20 engineers discussed how to solve this :-s
Luckily there was the sea-side to escape... and get sunburned - sorry no pictures were taken of my pink face!

Longest table @ Muide

During the "Muide Feesten", the local habitants wanted to have lunch at the longest table.

Mieke and her family invited Wouter and me for real "Gentse Waterzooi" (delicious!), and the balloon man was a bit weird but funny though :-)

After the delicious Caraibean food some weeks ago, Mieke and I wanted to try another time KVIV Jongeren: wine making in the Hageland (Belgium). Francis, Schalck and Drimi also joined.

Marijke and I wanted a break, some days off, some culture, some 'abroad'... So we visited Sidar, Gökçe and her friend Aicha in Istanbul.

Welcome Thomas!

Thomas is born tonight at 00:20 !
He's Elisabeth's and Tom's first child, weighs 3485 gr and is 50,5 cm. I'm looking forward visiting the parents and their new-born...

Dimitri, Bram, Mieke and I made plans yesterday on the AlumniGoliarde to have a barbecue after badmintonning tonight. And so we did... the boys brought the BBQ, Mieke the meat and I arranged vegetabels and logistics (my flat ;-))!

A bit after midnight, Dimitri, Bram, Mieke en Schalck went back home... and I could fall asleep with a full stomac.

After a whole day of training (Train The Trainer Session on the simulation tool we developped), I joined the Electrabel Team Event of Accenture in Ittre (South of Brussels). Because of the weekly badminton appointment and our crazy barbecue plans, I left earlier...


Amazing, it looked like a VW Golf commercial ;-)

After visiting pregnant Elisabeth, I went again to the seaside. This time not to Ostend nor with my friends but to St-Idesbald with my parents. We had a walk along the beach, missed sunset and drove back home after a nice meal.
