I'm experimenting with my camera...
Damn, taking photos wasn't a challenge until now: it's not easy at all to have good picture. I'll need lots of exercises... and tips from my brother ;-)

7:51... Along a Belgian highway, typical wheater and landscape... So extremely motivating to go to work within this context. Luckily for me I really like my job!

I bought a digital reflex camera... Still need to learn a lot before I can post pictures here :-s

It's been a while since the last post here... Actually life went on but it wasn't extremely exiting: working hard, enjoying the weekends, hating the traffic jams (and no mobile to take pictures of the surrounding landscape :-(), etc.

However... one special thing maybe: Last week there was the Vlerick Alumni New Year's recpetion in the Sky Hall of Zaventem (the old departure hall is now reused for receptions and that kind of events). Entering everyone received a promotional voucher. I was intended to throw mine away when arriving home - a pity of all those trees. Luckily I didn't do that earlier because at a certain point in time the sponsor asked us to have a closer look at the inside. There was a reddish paper inside mine... with a white stamp "cabin luggagge"... This meant that I won a Samsonite Cabin Bag!!! It is a pretty cool one in a flashy yellow color! -- I'll try to take a picture once I hava a camera again --

Later that week I spent that Friday at Vlerick, representing my company at the Career Fair. Our Accenture stand was very trendy... and I spend almost the whole time talking with students, answering their questions, telling about my experiences, etc. Quite exhausting -if you'd doubt on that!

After all those NewYear's drinks and parties, time for some Culture (with a capital C) this evening; at the NTGent Wouter, Katrijn and I went to the dernière of the "Oresteia". The story was a nice refresh of my knowledge about ancient Greec mythology but the play itself was almost perfect: intelligent decor, great actors and funny greek sentences ;-)

I'm finally home, left here about 21 hours ago for Louvain-la-Neuve. During the morning I worked, in the afternoon we were invited on NEXT's New Year's Party and this eveing Accenture had his New Year's reception... However, reception isn't the right word: a very elegant and tastefull walking diner, and a great party afterwards :-) Still suprised I spent all those our away from home? :-p

Someone stole my mobile phone today! I'm really sad because there were some nice pictures, emotional sms's, etc. on it... and also because I had to save a lot of money to afford the device :'-(
I still hope the world is good, and that someone will find it and bring it back! But I'm afraid that that is a too naive approach...

Today, the city of Ghent organized a NewYear's drink for all its inhabitants: Wouter, Katrijn and I went there (although I'm officially the only of us that lives in Ghent... Merelbeke isn't part of Ghent - have I been thaught ;-)). Pierke Pierlala was singing, talking and such more, the St-Baafsplein was crowded and so we hardly felt the cold/strong wind.
Afterwards, we had lunch in a new place: Godot. I'm a big fan of the interior... and the food was fine too!
In the afternoon we went to the exhibition about Stanley Kubrick in the Craemersklooster. As it was the last day, there were extremely many visitors. Nevertheless, the expo was great and very beautifull: I want to discover other movies of Kubrick now!

Daisy, Marijke, Johanna and I celebrated old year's evening at my appartment with verrrrrrrrry good food :-) Around midnight, my brother, Bram and Liesbeth (two of his friends), and Wouter joined us. We drank champagne on my balcony, kissed, wished each others the best for the new year, etc.

It was cold, the sea was calm, the wind wasn't blowing too hard... I had a deep breath of sea air today in Knokke. (No pics - unfortunately)

Tonight, we went with a bunch of Accenture colleagues to the Pré Soirée in Café Local (Antwerp): Dimitri, Bob, Philippe, me, Johan, Noortje, Bart, Eric, Ines and some others partied until midnight. Then the lights went on and the music was turned off :-(

Merry Christmas!

Unfortunately, I have no pictures from the Christmas eve at my parent's place, nore from the the first Christmas diner I organised at my place - what a stress upfront. Both family gatherings were cozy and pleasant...

Thanks to my daddy's efforts this morning, my bedroom has a fairy-like lighting now! I love my hoppy lamp and its shadow spots on the walls and ceiling! Sweet dreams...

The mist of yesterday hasn't gone yet; the fields along the E17 highway (Ghent-Antwerp) were pretty... pretty misty... this morning.

Btw, my grandmother is celebrating her birthday today: she's now 95 years old! Congratulations !!!

Where is the basilica of Koekelberg?!?

Not yet a park at the back of my appartment... Although, thanks to the rain of the last days, I'm overlooking a LAKE nowadays. I'm looking forward to ice skate on it if it starts freezing ;-)

Lille, France. The Christmas atmosphere was fake and the streets too crowded. Nevertheless, Marijke, Johanna, Daisy, Kathelijn and I spent a nice day :-)

The first cold morning this winter... In some places it was freezing. Along the E17 highway temperature was still 4°C but the sight on the landscape around was too beautifull to capture!

VTK organised its yearly galabal tonight. The location, concept and timing were different but it was a great party! It was just a pity that party animal Mieke was missing this edition...
