"Amuses gueulles" in Ghent this evening with collaegues from the UAT Ghent: 4 dishes at 4 different spots in the historic centre of Ghent. Starting with champagne on a boat, starter in Bennesteeg, main course in the building with the only and oldest wooden façade, and dessert at "Faim de toi" -delicious. Of course, we ended for a drink in 't Vosken ;-)

One week has passed almost... an extremely busy one: badminton with Wouter DJ, Filmfestival Gent (movie: "Scattered Soul") with Wouter DJ and Tom D, meeting with the VTK young alumni, sending out VTKalumni's 3rd e-zine and tonight there is/was the wine tasting of the young Vlerick alumni. And I'm totally exhausted now! Time to go to bed! Big kiss x

Interieur 2006, the design biennale, started yesterday. This morning, Jérémy and I, both architecture & design lovers, visited the fair at Kortrijk Xpo. After some years of 'minimalism' and abstract shapes, baroque (!) explosions are hot now... After tree hours, we started to feel uncomfortable surrounded by all this excentric luxury :-s

"Vooruit" is one of Ghent's most famous buildings: built be the people, for the people just before the first world war, totally according to the socialist thoughts. Nowadays, the building is renovated and used as an arts centre - the biggest one in Belgium (according to this afternoon's guide ;-)). It is the school example how old renovated building remains completely public throughout the whole year: it is a protected monument... full of life and people!

Katrijn, Wouter and I had to opportunity to visit it and see more as the public parts of it.

I just arrived home... The Accenture Rookies Party was great! I had a lot of fun, danced the whole time and enjoyed myself a lot! Just a pity that some 'sluts' showed up in the end... Apparently some women need male company to have fun: poor them! I don't need that to party hard -which I did tonight! I'm looking forward to the next party opportunity :-)

Surprisingly, the daily traffic jams do still not annoy me: I love looking at the sky, the mist above the fields, the other people in the cars around me, the sun rise ... For me (until now) it is a perfect intermezzo between waking up and starting to work ;-) But I won't care if I'd be in Brussels in half an hour, instead of much more!

Exactly 4 weeks ago, I started working at Accenture. Since that day, I admire this building each morning and evening... often while 'enjoying' the traffic jams at the entrance of Brussels.

What do people do after buying furniture...?

Finally! Today we went to IKEA to buy the big pieces of furniture for my flat. Thanks to Geert everything could be transported. With the four of us, Geert, papa, Jérémy and I, we succeeded in getting all those heavy, unhandable pack 2 stories high... as the elevator is still (!) not working !?! Mama joined us later this evening, and we all had an extremely nice diner at La Cena in Ghent's city center!
